Bachelor of Computer Science & Engineering program aims to provide the skills of necessary for modern-day business and industry to assist in managing increasingly complex technical problems. BCSE is designed to allow students to specialize in computer hardware; it includes many courses in computer software and all programming language.
For general (SSC & HSC passed): BDT 3,34,914.
For Diploma Engineers: BDT 2,38,562.
For general (SSC & HSC passed): 4 academic years; 12 semesters.
For Diploma Engineers: 3 academic years; 9 semesters.
A student must attend all the classes. Up to three absences, per course, in a semester may be excused.
The minimum requirement for eligibility to seek admission into BCSE program is higher secondary certificate from Science with Physics and Mathematics may apply for admission in Computer Science & Engineering. However, students passing HSC from Humanities and Business group may also apply for this program provided they complete courses equivalent to 6 credit hours in Mathematics and Physics before they start their regular courses at the university. Minimum qualifying points to be eligible to apply is 5. Students with English medium background are encouraged to apply for admission. For all foreign certificates equivalence will be determined by the University.
The University calendar is arranged so that students may start in January, May or September.
Students who completed SSC and HSC are required to complete 12 semesters to obtain 169.5 credits: six compulsory semesters are taken in the first two years, and in Year 3 and 4 you choose six optional semesters.
You will cover a rotating combination of:
- Science
- English
- Computer Science Courses
- Computer Engineering Courses
- Mathematics
- Humanities/Business
Students who completed Diploma are required to complete 9 semesters to obtain 145.5 credits
Face-to-face teaching, lectures and seminars.
Through course assignments and/or in-class tests, plus formal examinations.
Access to computer facilities and library.
We offer Graduate programmes under School of Engineering for BCSE graduates.
Booming Computer Engineering sectors in Bangladesh has plenty of jobs for fresh computer science graduates. Computer Engineers have plenty of options to work in IT and non-IT companies in departments such as design, development, assembly, manufacture and maintenance, etc.
